PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Aaron M. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Aaron is an Urban Studies major at Yale University from NYC. What started as a lego city obsession from a young age has slowly developed into a career path towards city planning, real estate development, and urban design. Throughout high school, he explored New York Cities' homelessness crisis, interviewing men in shelters and giving a Ted X Talk to expose deeply rooted corruption and senseless bureaucracy. Along with balancing Urban labs, drawing studios, and policy classes, he is on the Varsity Track and Field team. As one of the top sprinters in the nation, Aaron has medaled at multiple Ivy Championships and competed overseas at the Maccabiah games, earning two individual bronze medals. Additionally, he is an avid home chef and Liverpool FC, NYCFC, and Yankee fan.
