PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

EDUCATION

I am passionate about mentoring students in the areas of Sustainability, Women & Gender Studies, Law / Government / Policy, Journalism, Public Speaking, Writing, and Spanish.

Alegria R. (IN A NUTSHELL)

I was born in Washington, DC and raised in Buenos Aires Argentina. After moving back to the US to attend Stanford University, I've worked in Europe, LATAM and the United States. I graduated Stanford as a founding member and Co-President of Stanford Women in Politics and with a dual degree in Economics and Political Science. Currently, I'm a Consultant at the Monitor Institute by Deloitte—Deloitte's social sector consulting firm—based in New York. Leading with curiosity, I'm passionate about understanding entrenched problems and complex systems to help mission-driven organizations accelerate their impact. Education--and curiosity--are two gifts no one can take away from you. I love teaching bright, young students and hopefully, helping them build a lifelong love of learning. I have experience tutoring Spanish and macro/microeconomics at the college level and also have taught primary school students Spanish language as their home school (virtual) teacher, as well as high school college essay writing, English literature, math and history.
