Alex E. (IN A NUTSHELL)
🧩🌱🍏
Hello there! I'm Alex, and I'm passionate about using design to empower creativity and create positive social impact. I love seeing young people's creativity blossom as they work on their own projects. I believe in the power of learning by doing, and I'm inspired by the transformative journey it can bring.
I graduated from Stanford in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, and Society, concentrating in Innovation and Organization. It was a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program that equipped me with a deep understanding of human-centered product design, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology ethics.
I was recognized for my product design work at Stanford, receiving awards and being nominated to speak at the STS graduation ceremony. Additionally, I was honored with the Stanford Award of Excellence for my active involvement in various extracurricular activities, including Stanford Wrestling, the BASES Entrepreneurship organization, serving as Design Chair of the Senior Cabinet, and acting as a peer advisor for my major.
Professionally, I'm building my career in user experience (UX) design while also developing a mission-driven freelancing agency. My goal is to leverage bold, engaging design to amplify positive impact. I specialize in understanding user needs through empathy and bringing innovative ideas to life using compelling storytelling and visually stunning design.
I've got a solid foundation in startups, business, and product design. This mix of skills lets me tackle a variety of projects and manage things from start to finish. (hint: nothing is ever finished!) I'm excited to mentor students who are building their own products, projects, or businesses. I can also teach the fundamentals of product design to equip them with the skills needed to create amazing things. With my Stanford training, hands-on experience, and real-world know-how, I'll provide them with the tools and guidance necessary to confidently pursue their brilliant ideas and navigate the complexities of bringing them to fruition.
