Bailey S. (IN A NUTSHELL)
Bailey is a sophomore at Stanford pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Earth Systems (Environmental Science). Her biggest passion lies at the intersection of human connection/storytelling and sustainability. Outside of classes, she is part of Students for a Sustainable Stanford, Club Swimming, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, and is the Marketing Intern for the sustainable outdoor gear brand Cotopaxi. She loves outdoor activities, like hiking with friends and going to the beach. In high school at Chaminade College Preparatory, Bailey was Captain of the Girls Varsity Swim Team, Environmental Commissioner on Student Council, and part of National Honor Society. Outside of academics in high school, Bailey was a fierce advocate for climate action, through being a core organizer of Youth Climate Strike Los Angeles and Director of Chapter Relations for an international climate NGO, called One Up Action. She did nine years of competitive swimming and continues to appreciate an active lifestyle. She has gained crucial work experience at In-N-Out Burger, LUSH cosmetics, Salt & Straw Ice Cream, and most recently through her Brand Partnerships Internship at the software development company Archive, where she helped popular fashion brands begin the shift towards sustainable clothing. She is so excited to share her passions for conservation, sustainability, and the power of communication to problem solve, build human connection, and create change.
