PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Chandrika C. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Chandrika is a Boston native, who has recently returned to her home city to pursue a PhD in Physics at Harvard after graduating from Princeton this past spring. Passionate about math, physics, astronomy, and computer science, Chandrika has been working on physics research projects since high school. Now, she is interested in using machine learning to study dark matter and the large scale structure of the universe. In addition to being an enthusiastic student, Chandrika has been an energetic tutor throughout her time at Princeton, and takes pride in helping students develop thorough understanding via active questioning, and passion via a student-led teaching style. Outside of school and tutoring, Chandrika loves to stay active outdoors, read Russian literature, listen to current-events podcasts, and learn new recipes!
