PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Cooper A. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Cooper is a recent graduate from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, where he studied International Business, Management, and un poco di italiano. Initially, he was dead set on achieving his life-long dream of becoming CEO of Ferrari, but shifted his focus to solving pressing societal issues when he began working on The Farmlink Project shortly after COVID-19 brought the world to a halt. As the Head of the Farms & Policy Teams, he worked with fellow college students from all corners of the country to rescue surplus produce from going to waste, feed millions of hungry Americans, and design lasting solutions to hunger through smart policy. He continued this social impact focused work with the Hult Prize Foundation, where he designed a program that has taught hundreds of thousands of college students across the globe how to build impactful, for-profit businesses that address problems ranging from water access to education. Outside of work, he can typically be found doing one of a few things: reading the Financial Times, calling his mom for cooking help, training for his next marathon, or diving into whatever subject fascinates him right now (currently: economics). He believes learning is the most powerful tool we have at our disposal and can't wait to work alongside the kids who will run the world in a few decades.
