PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Emma is a senior at Yale University majoring in Economics. She’s interested in finance, economics, mathematics, and learning new languages. Outside of classes, Emma is on the Investment Board of Smart Women Securities, a peer tutor in macroeconomics, and a member of The Women’s Network and Yale’s Undergraduate Prison Project. Last summer, Emma was a Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program scholar, where she completed a month training program at The Wharton School and interned at StepStone Group as a private equity analyst. Emma graduated as valedictorian from Cardinal Spellman High School in The Bronx. During her high school years, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Italian Club, Homeroom Senator, and a participant in Flag Corps. She was also an AP Scholar with Distinction and National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Scholar. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, taking walks, mountain climbing and zip lining in the mountains of Kosovo, doing yoga, and reading. As a child of Albanian immigrants, Emma is excited to be the mentor she wished she had when she was younger.
