PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Eric O. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Hi!! My name is Eric Olvera, and I am a 2023 graduate of Harvard University where I studied Psychology. I am on a gap year before starting work at Oliver Wyman, a consulting firm in Boston, MA. I have experience in Psychology research in which I worked as a research assistant at a Youth Mental Health lab, listening to therapy sessions and writing R code! I grew up with Mexican parents and am also Fluent in Spanish! I am passionate about helping students apply to colleges that are the best fit for them, especially when it comes to planning out high school classes, clubs, and most importantly, essays. At Harvard, I was involved w/ Latinos in Finance and Tech and the Radio club. I enjoy working out and playing guitar with my indie rock band. I look forward to working with you!
