PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Joseph O. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Hi!

My name is Joseph (you can call me Joe or Joseph), and I'm a recent Brown University Environmental Studies graduate. I care about creating sustainable socio-ecological systems made to help people and our planet!

In college, I competed on a D1 cross country and track and field team, worked for an AI and Library innovation education group, organized a Climate Negotiations conference, and helped change Brown's business ethics policy.

In the second photo, I'm eating ice cream with my dear older brother Kevin and to the right I'm "hugging" a 2700 year old tree! I love running on trails, eating blueberries, napping on the couch, meditating, and making coffee-shop friends.

I'm now out of college doing culinary work for a seed company in NY's Hudson Valley and (fun fact) I've convinced my uncle to take Harp lessons with me in NYC, which I'm quite excited about.
