PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Jude F. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Jude is a third-year student at Brown University studying international and public affairs. Born and raised in New Hampshire, home of the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, Jude fell in love with politics from a young age. He is passionate about the real-life stories that fall at the intersection of policy, history, and law, and hopes to inspire the same enthusiasm for civic engagement in others.

Jude has worked extensively on political campaigns at the local, congressional, and gubernatorial level, including helping to run a state legislative campaign in New Hampshire. At Brown, Jude is involved in public policy and legal research projects and serves as an editor of the Brown Undergraduate Law Review. He has also worked in the Rhode Island state government and the United States Senate.

When he is not reading Supreme Court opinions or tracking state legislation, Jude can be found learning a new piano piece, exploring the bookstores of Providence, or watching squirrels on the Main Green. He has tutored students in creative writing, language arts, history, and the college application process. Jude is eager to help students discover their passions and unlock their full potential as learners and citizens.
