PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Kevin G. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Kevin is a sophomore at Harvard University currently studying economics and English literature. His writing work appears or is forthcoming in Rattle, Ember Journal, The National Poetry Quarterly, and Beyond Words among others. Last fall, he was invited to the White House to be honored by Jill Biden for his role as one of five National Student Poets in the nation. He is also a part of Harvard's strategy consulting group (Consulting on Business and the Environment) and has experience in finance and investment banking. He has helped students receive acceptances from institutions such as Harvard University, UPenn's Wharton School of Business, Brown University (PLME), UCLA, and others. On his off days, he enjoys hunting for underrated boba shops and eating cold watermelon. He's incredibly excited to be both a mentor and friend!
