PRO TIP:

When evaluating whether a mentor would be a good match for your student keep in mind that the greatest leading indicator of success is how well a mentor and their mentee get along.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • Would the student find this person inspiring?
  • Do they share any interests, hobbies, or lived experiences?

Nestor T. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Nestor studied physics at Harvard and has since started his own venture-backed food robotics company. Since elementary school, Nestor has been obsessed with doing his own projects, from launching Kickstarter campaigns for glowing drawing boards, to creating the first scooter share service on Harvard's campus and building a device that lets paraplegics walk. Nestor’s projects have led him to learn enough programming skills to build anything he thinks of, and enough mechanical and electrical engineering skills to put together useful contraptions fast and cheap. Before starting his own company, Nestor spent time working at other robotics startups, and worked for a year at a top tier venture capital firm, incubating and investing in numerous companies. In his free time, Nestor loves to cook, play guitar, try new places to eat, debate controversial topics, and go on walks with his doggo.
