Rhea M. (IN A NUTSHELL)

Meet Rhea, a highly accomplished student at Stanford University, currently pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Math, and Bioengineering. With a passion for hands-on, impactful learning, Rhea has earned numerous accolades, including being a US Presidential Scholar and Intel ISEF Grand Award winner, and winning multiple international science fairs with her research on heart failure. Rhea loves public speaking and using her platform to make change, having spoken at the UN on women’s health, given a TED Talk, and launched her own podcast on NPR about STEM accessibility and education. Rhea is also the founder of Synapse, a STEM mentorship non-profit that provides free engineering curriculum to girls' schools in 8 countries. She loved building and leading a team and this was one of her favorite experiences in high school. In her free time, Rhea indulges her creative side with ceramics and jewelry making. She also loves playing basketball and field hockey because of her tight knit team. Rhea has lived in 8+ cities, loves traveling, and spending time with friends and family. For the past 5 years, Rhea has worked as a tutor, helping students achieve their academic goals with her engaging and friendly mentorship style. She is committed to making a difference in the lives of students, and her expertise and passion for STEM education make her an excellent choice for any student seeking academic support. Having younger siblings growing up and launching her education non-profit, Rhea is passionate about teaching because she believes in empowering truly curious students to explore their potential.
