Shula H. (IN A NUTSHELL)
Shula graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2023, summa cum laude, where she studied Political Science and minored in Business. During her time at Vanderbilt, her favorite classes were "Middle East Politics," "The Modern British Novel," "Unity and American Democracy," and "Business Management." Outside the classroom, Shula was actively involved with Women in Business, serving as President and empowering fellow female-identifying students in their career journeys. Shula also worked as a Tour Guide, connecting with prospective Vandy students and creating an exciting campus environment.
Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Shula was engaged in student council during high school and led her school's annual charity fundraiser, raising over $200,000! She also volunteered with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where she first developed a passion for education. Shula was honored as part of the Jewish United Fund's 18-Under-18 Cohort for this work.
During her summers in college, Shula explored the intersection of social impact and business. She worked as a Grants and Development intern at the Illinois Holocaust Museum, a Digital Strategy intern at EY in Israel, and a Summer Associate at EY-Parthenon. During the summer of 2021, Shula took part in the Birthright Israel Excel fellowship where she had the opportunity to live in Tel Aviv and learn from other Jewish business leaders from around the world.
Now residing in New York City, Shula works full-time for Curious Cardinals as Family Operations and Strategy Manager. She is passionate about using education and EdTech as a lever for social change.
In her free time, you can find Shula reading, listening to podcasts, searching for the best iced coffee in town, or experimenting with new recipes. Her all-time favorite books are The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, Educated by Tara Westover, and Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate.
Shula is thrilled to be a part of the Curious Cardinals team!
